This guide proposes two hypotheses1- The phonological characteristics of childrens second language will affect their pronunciation of unshared sounds in their first language, in the same way the first language influences a second language.Numerous studies have analysed the issue of phonological interaction in children, especially in cases where children are taught to communicate in to a greater extent than one language (Goldstein, 2004). Some of these studies are listed in the reference section of this proposal.
